Magento case study
Campaign-Ready Homepage
A configurable merchandising system supporting seasonal campaigns, reusable content sections and curated or data-led product rails.
01
The challenge
An established UK ecommerce retailer needed a Magento homepage that could respond to promotions and seasons without requiring the complete page to be rebuilt for each campaign.
The objective was to replace a developer-dependent static page with reusable storefront sections, controlled administration options and safe fallback behaviour.
02
The solution
A dedicated Magento homepage module provides modular sections for shopping routes, trust messaging, product merchandising, preparation products, calculator content, brands and advice. Default, Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter and Promo profiles allow campaign-specific overrides to inherit sensible default values.
Product rails can use manually curated SKUs or automated best-seller and category sourcing, falling back to the manual selection if automated results are unavailable. Products are filtered to enabled, storefront-visible items and ordered by sales quantity where that data exists, with deterministic category and name ordering as a fallback.
The storefront output handles product imagery, standard pricing and special prices consistently, giving content managers useful campaign control without exposing the underlying implementation detail.
03
The outcome
The homepage becomes a reusable merchandising framework rather than a fixed landing page, allowing campaigns and product selections to change without rebuilding the complete page each time.
